About Emerson Umbrella

The Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts is located in historic Concord, Massachusetts. We are a non-profit cultural organization committed to nurturing and encouraging the arts throughout the community.       

 

 

We provide:

  • Studio Space for more than 60 artists in the former Emerson School building in Concord and in the former Highland School in neighboring Carlisle
  • Classes and Workshops for children and adults in four large teaching studios
  • Exhibition space in the Gallery at Emerson Umbrella
  • Community Arts Initiatives, including the Musketaquid Arts & Environment program
  • Performance space for all disciplines in the 435-seat Emerson Umbrella Theater, including a series of events under the banner Emerson Umbrella Presents
