BIG ART

Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts is pleased to present its third annual outdoor large-scale sculpture exhibit, BIG ART 2012.

This captivating project, beginning May 12 and continuing through 2013, is now designed as an evolving show, with new pieces to be exchanged or added throughout the exhibition. The Umbrella will also host an ongoing series of artist talks by the featured sculptors; times and dates to be announced.

The installation promises to thrill the eye, pique the intellect, and stimulate community discussion about art. Featured outdoor sculptors are Ben Cabot, Kevin Duffy, Gary Haven Smith, Linda Hoffman, Michio Ihara, Yin Peet, Louise Peterson, Antoinette Schultze, and Billy Sherry; wall sculptures by Tom Odell will be indoors in the gallery.  A companion indoor sculpture exhibit of related 2D and 3D works by these artists will show from May 18 through June 29, 2012 in the Emerson Umbrella Gallery.
