Saturday,
April 5, 12 to 5 pm Emerson Umbrella artists — from painters to potters to writers and illustrators — throw open their doors to welcome the public on Saturday, April 5 from 12 to 5pm and Sunday, April 6 from 1 to 5pm. This year, in honor of the Emerson Umbrella's 25th Anniversary, our annual group exhibition in conjunction with Open Studios is titled "Then and Now," and features works by Umbrella artists from (approximately) 25 years ago, alongside current works. |

Vent du Nord Since its inception in 2002, Le Vent du Nord has exploded onto the folk music scene. The group’s first recording, Maudite moisson!, was awarded the Juno for traditional album of the year in 2004 and was nominated for the same award by ADISQ, the first of numerous awards and nominations. Music Society Special Children's Program CCMS presents its Special Children's Program in collaboration with the New England Conservatory Educational Outreach Program, featuring the talented Parker Quartet. These intriguing young musicians are rapidly gaining recognition as one of the most outstanding chamber ensembles on the international stage. Aaponi's Destiny is an interactive story about a mayfly who lives for only one day, making important decisions about her destiny with the help of the audience. Tickets for this program are FREE for children 12 and under, accompanied by an adult. Seating is unassigned. This concert is not included in the season subscription. Ready for Musketaquid Musketaquid Earth Day is coming up on May 3! Come build an Earth Float of natural materials to launch at the River Ceremony. CC King will lead two Earth Floats Workshops from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 27 at the Emerson Umbrella. You can attend one or both, depending on how elaborate your vision becomes. For more information or to register, stop by the office or call 978-371-0820.
